Cyclo-cross Riders from the club compete in the Wessex cyclo-cross league. The home page for the league can be found here. Events for 2009/2010 are listed here. Cyclo-cross news from Harvey Pitt. December 2009 The clubs under 12 riders have been putting in some fantastic performances in recent weeks with Conrad Pitt and Edward Gronbech both winning events and consistently finishing in the top three places. Rio Avery has also been regularly finishing in the top five. At Basingstoke a few weeks ago they took the top three places! Overall there are 78 riders who are listed in the U12 league for 2009/10. Edward is currently 2nd, Rio 4th both have ridden 8 of the 9 events so far and Conrad who has ridden 5 events is 5th. In the Senior league things are not going quite as well but I am gradually getting quicker and now placed 78th out of the 140 or so riders competing. Pictures of Conrad riding at Swindon prior to the start of the rainy season and my bike/left leg having completed the Oxonian event last weekend are attached. Team Gronbech placed well in the Under 12's again, with 2nd and 4th place. I only managed 65th in the seniors but enjoyed getting muddy... I think. Pete Wessex round 7.
