  • 27 June. Clive Thomas writes: The boys (Clive, Mark and Rich) took a trip to the fast U47, whilst other Oxford club members were riding to Henley and back. The conditions appeared perfect for racing and turned out to be so. Ride of the day went to Rich who improved on his PB with a rapid 20:18, at time which would've beaten the club record only 3 years ago. Mark tried his first race after his tonsillitis, and although recording a fast 20:13 was still clearly suffering from his illness. Clive, with tired body and legs from the previous night, turned in his 2nd fastest performance ever and fastest for 3 years with a 21:41, so the boys were happy.
